We've been working very hard on the Simulcaster range for a long time and they absolutely rip. We have built these from the ground up and they are like no others on the market. We have captured the sound and feel of a vintage P-90 and shoehorned it into these three different footprints to suit your guitar.

Starlight Bridge & Bela Luna Neck

JJ's guitar pickups has a new addition to the Simulcaster range - and they're hum cancelling. 

The Starlight bridge and Bela Luna neck pickups work equally well together as they do individually. Very versatile, these cover all single coil territory and more. They're even more dynamic and clearer than a P-90. 

The Alnico 3 Starlight bridge pickup is bright, mid-focused and shimmering.  - Great for slide too. 

The Alnico 5 Bella Luna neck pickup is big, round and clear.  - Low output, scooped mids with big bass and treble.

Increasingly folks are asking us to pair up a Simulcaster pickup with other pickups. The combinations are endless, so I won't cover them all here. We designed these to work with a 250K volume pot, but they also work well with a 500K, so they can be paired up with any other pickups. Using Mogami 3 wire, audio console cable, they can also be polarity flipped.

Design - Each pickup has two micro coils inside. The first under the E, A and D strings, the second under the G, B and E strings. The coil pair are reverse wound, so they're hum cancelling - deadly quiet. There are six poles per pickup, just like a good single coil. Because the strings are sampled at a single point, the sound is much clearer and more dynamic than a Humbucker. Made completely by hand, here in our workshop.

From the gentlest touch through to hard pick attack, be prepared to discover sounds that you didn't know your guitar had!

Our Simulcaster pickups are all compatible in terms of the 500K pot value, their output and polarity. We can make a custom combination to suit your guitar. We can even help with custom wiring diagrams for your unique wiring.

Mix n match configurations

All of our pickups must be fitted with the supplied mounting hardware. If you have something special in mind for installation, please get in touch and we will see if we can help. We recommend installing into a pickguard or pickup mounting rings only for the Simulcaster range. We do not recommend top-loading/direct mount systems for Simulcaster pickups.
