All the pickups here sound great. If they're not up to standard, we don't list them here. Some are on shelf, others are build to order.

XL Pickups - QUARTER INCH ALNICO V
For something a little different.
XL magnets = Extra Large sound for your guitar. Quarter inch, Alnico 5 magnets. Fat, single coil tone.
XL-S set - $329 - XL-T set - $279
It's often said that this style of pickup can be muddy, overbearing and just too full-on to have any versatility. We fixed that! These offer clear and present treble, rich mids, powerful bass that's not boomy, fat single note solos, blistering chords and sustain for days, all with no mud. Our bobbins are made in-house with custom pole spacing.

XL-S - We used a fairly typical coil formula putting these in the mid 6-7K range and let the large magnets speak, and they're fat. Use with a 250K pot, for straight drop-in. (Black only, covers don't fit) Each custom made pickup has its own pole spacing, wider at bridge, narrowing at the neck- $329 a set.
XL-S Rear shot - Good for Grunge, Doom, Shoegaze, the extra power and bass in these will help fill out your mix or stage.
XL-T - Again we stuck with a fairly typical Tele wind on these, these are suitable for 500K volume pot. $279 a set.
XL-T Rear shot - Covers are not available on XL pickups, we've custom made the flatwork to use all of the available space for magnets and coils!
